What is 4invoices.net?

4invoices.net is an online invoicing platform for companies, sole traders and freelancers: you issue invoices, submit them to ANAF e-Factura and track payments from one account. It runs in the browser, with no installation, and covers more than 70 markets with local currency and VAT settings.

Does 4invoices submit invoices to the tax authority?

Direct submission to a government e-invoicing system is available today only for Romania (ANAF e-Factura): invoices are sent from the platform and their status (validated or rejected) syncs back to your account. In other countries you issue invoices with the locally required details and export them (PDF, XML, JSON) for your accountant.

How do I receive supplier invoices?

In Romania, invoices received in SPV are retrieved automatically through the ANAF e-Factura connection. In other countries, you import them from CSV or Excel files.

What is compliant e-invoicing?

Compliant e-invoicing means issuing invoices in the format and through the channel required by each country's tax authority: e-Factura in Romania, FatturaPA in Italy, XRechnung or ZUGFeRD in Germany, the Peppol network in the EU. A non-compliant invoice can be rejected or attract penalties.

Can I invoice in multiple currencies?

Yes. You invoice in RON, EUR or any other currency, with totals and VAT calculated per invoice. VAT rates, currency and numbering series are configured once and applied automatically.

Can I import customers and products?

Yes. You import customers and products from Excel or CSV files, and there are dedicated importers for exports from SmartBill, Oblio, FGO, Facturis and Saga.

Do you support recurring invoices and automations?

Yes. Recurring invoices are issued automatically on schedule, and customer notifications go out by e-mail, and by SMS depending on your plan.

Do I need an accountant to use 4invoices.net?

Not for issuing invoices. An accountant remains responsible for periodic tax declarations — 4invoices.net covers invoicing, not the full accounting workflow.

How is 4invoices.net different from QuickBooks or Sage?

QuickBooks and Sage are accounting software with an added invoicing component, built for Anglo-Saxon markets. 4invoices.net is dedicated to online invoicing, with direct ANAF e-Factura integration, Stripe payment links, bank reconciliation and a single REST API for more than 70 markets.

Can I manage several companies from one account?

Yes. A subscription includes one company; each additional company is an add-on, and all companies are managed from the same account.

Is there a free period and how do I pay?

You pay monthly or yearly, by card or bank transfer. Invoicing plans start with a free period of 12 months, no card required. Prices are shown in euro (EUR); for accounts registered in Romania, payment and invoice are in RON, converted at the National Bank of Romania (BNR) rate of the payment day plus 5%.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You can stop renewal from your account and keep access until the end of the paid period.

What does compliant e-invoicing mean in Romania?

In Romania a business-to-business invoice counts as a compliant e-invoice when it is built as UBL CIUS-RO XML and uploaded to ANAF's e-Factura system, which has been mandatory for B2B sales since 1 January 2024. 4invoices.net issues the invoice, produces that file and sends it to ANAF from the same account. The dashboard is in English, which helps foreign owners and group finance teams follow the process, while access to ANAF itself (SPV and a qualified certificate) stays in Romanian. Outside Romania the platform issues locally formatted invoices and exports them; direct submission to a state system exists only for Romania today.
